Services We Offer

LASIK & Vision Correction

Brooklyn patients have access to the full range of vision correction procedures at Focus Eye Care & Surgery. Our ophthalmologists perform thorough pre-operative evaluations to determine the best option for your eyes and your lifestyle.

LASIK

LASIK is the most widely performed laser vision correction procedure in the world. Using a precise excimer laser to reshape the cornea, LASIK delivers dramatically improved vision — often within 24 hours of treatment.

EVO ICL™

The EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is an excellent alternative for patients with higher prescriptions or thin corneas. This additive, removable lens is implanted behind the iris with no corneal tissue removed.

PRK

PRK is a proven surface-based laser procedure for patients who may not qualify for LASIK. It reshapes the corneal surface without creating a flap, making it the preferred option for certain corneal profiles.

Presbyopia

As we age, the eye’s natural lens loses flexibility, making it harder to focus up close. We offer several treatment options for presbyopia, including advanced lens solutions and refractive procedures tailored to your needs.

Cataracts

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is one of the safest and most effective procedures in modern medicine. Our surgeons use minimally invasive phacoemulsification techniques to remove the clouded lens through a micro-incision, with most patients noticing improvement within 24–48 hours.

YAG Laser

Some patients develop clouding behind the lens after cataract surgery. A quick, painless YAG laser procedure can restore clarity in minutes — right in our Brooklyn office.

Advanced IOLs

Premium intraocular lenses — including multifocal and extended-depth-of-focus options — can reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after cataract surgery. We will help you choose the right lens for your vision goals.

Dry Eye

Dry eye disease is one of the most common eye conditions affecting New Yorkers. Our Brooklyn ophthalmologists use advanced diagnostics to identify the root cause and build a personalized treatment plan that provides real, lasting relief.

Dry Eye Treatments

We offer a full range of dry eye treatments — from prescription drops and punctal plugs to in-office procedures — designed to restore the natural tear film and improve daily comfort.

IPL Therapy for Dry Eye

Intense Pulsed Light therapy reduces inflammation in the eyelid glands that contribute to evaporative dry eye. A series of brief in-office treatments can provide significant, long-lasting relief.

Blepharitis

Chronic inflammation of the eyelid margins caused by blepharitis is a leading contributor to dry eye symptoms. We provide targeted treatment including in-office lid hygiene procedures and at-home maintenance regimens.

Other Services

Corneal Conditions

Expert diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases including keratoconus, Fuchs’ dystrophy, corneal scarring, and bullous keratopathy.

Corneal Cross-Linking

Corneal cross-linking is a minimally invasive procedure that strengthens corneal tissue to slow or halt the progression of keratoconus and other corneal conditions.

Corneal Tissue Addition Keratoplasty (CTAK)

Corneal tissue addition keratoplasty is an advanced corneal procedure that adds donor tissue to reshape and strengthen the cornea — an alternative to full corneal transplant for select patients.

Retinal Conditions

Early detection and co-management of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.

Glaucoma

Comprehensive glaucoma testing, monitoring, and treatment to protect your optic nerve and preserve your long-term vision.

Personalized Lens Surgery

Personalized lens surgery is a premium refractive procedure for patients who are not laser candidates or who want to eliminate dependence on glasses as they approach presbyopia. The natural lens is replaced with an advanced IOL tailored to your needs.

Eyelid & Facial Plastics

Treatment for drooping eyelids, eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), and removal of eyelid growths such as styes and chalazia.

Comprehensive Eye Care

Routine eye exams for all ages, screening for refractive errors, eye disease, and systemic conditions that can affect vision. Most major insurance plans accepted. New patients are welcome.
