Eyelid & Facial Plastics
(Oculoplastics)
The eyes play a powerful role in both how you see the world—and how the world sees you. At Focus Eye Care & Surgery, our Eyelid & Facial Plastics services combine the medical precision of ophthalmology with the refined techniques of facial plastic surgery. Led by Dr. Mamta Shah, a fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon, we provide advanced surgical and non-surgical solutions designed to restore comfort, function, and natural facial balance.
Serving patients throughout Queens, Long Island, and New York City, our oculoplastic care addresses a wide range of concerns, from drooping eyelids and tearing issues to eyelid tumors, facial lesions, and post-Mohs reconstruction. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored—grounded in eye health, facial anatomy, and your individual goals—so results look appropriate, balanced, and never overdone.
Treatments We Offer
Upper Lid Blepharoplasty
Removes excess upper eyelid skin that can create a heavy, tired appearance or interfere with vision. This procedure helps restore a more open, refreshed look while supporting proper eyelid function.
Upper Lid Ptosis Repair
Corrects drooping of the upper eyelid caused by weakened eyelid muscles. Ptosis repair can improve visual obstruction while enhancing eyelid symmetry.
Lower Lid Blepharoplasty
Addresses under-eye puffiness, bags, or laxity by refining the lower eyelid area. The goal is smoother contours without altering the natural shape of the eye.
Removal of Eyelid Growths
Evaluation and precise removal of benign or suspicious eyelid lesions, with careful attention to eyelid structure and healing.
Chalazion Removal
Surgical treatment for persistent or recurrent chalazia (blocked oil glands) that do not respond to conservative care.
Tearing Problems
Diagnosis and treatment of excessive tearing due to blocked or narrowed tear drainage pathways. Procedures may include tear duct irrigation, punctoplasty, or Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) when appropriate.
Punctal Plugs
Tiny, biocompatible devices placed in the tear ducts to help retain moisture on the eye surface, often used for dry eye–related tearing or irritation.
Ectropion & Entropion Repair
Corrects eyelids that turn outward (ectropion) or inward (entropion), conditions that can cause discomfort, tearing, and corneal irritation if left untreated.
Orbitotomy & Orbital Procedures
Surgical access to the eye socket (orbit) to diagnose or treat masses, inflammation, or structural concerns while preserving ocular health.
Mohs Defect Repair
Reconstruction of eyelid or facial defects following Mohs surgery, with a focus on restoring both function and natural appearance.
Skin Cancer Removal & Repair
Careful excision and reconstruction of skin cancers affecting the eyelids or face, using oculoplastic techniques to protect delicate structures.
Ingrown Eyelashes (Trichiasis)
Treatment of misdirected lashes that rub against the eye surface, helping relieve irritation and reduce the risk of corneal damage.
Conjunctivoplasty
Surgical repair of conjunctival abnormalities that may cause irritation, redness, or discomfort.
Functional Brow Lift
Raises a heavy or low brow that contributes to visual obstruction or eyelid strain, improving both comfort and field of vision.
Excision & Repair of Facial Lesions
Removal of benign or suspicious facial lesions with meticulous reconstruction to support optimal healing and appearance.
Kenalog® (Intralesional Injection)
Targeted steroid injections used to treat select inflammatory lesions, scars, or chalazia when appropriate.
